About the role
This position is located in the Railroad Retirement Board's Bureau of Information Services. Specialized experience is (1) Developing enterprise data strategies and target-state architectures. (2) Directing the migration of legacy data silos into modern enterprise platforms. (3) Providing data management and data governance expert technical guidance to senior leadership. Time-in grade-restrictions: Applicants who are current or former Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Only experience and/or education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
