Deliver technical product and disease training that supports the value proposition of Elanco's poultry portfolio for veterinarians, feed mills, poultry producers, key opinion leaders, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
Provide veterinary-level technical support by responding to complex product and disease questions, sharing scientific information, and conducting field assessments that generate local data and strengthen customer relationships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, researchers, academia, and key opinion leaders through regular customer engagement, conference participation, and industry networking.
Support commercial growth by contributing technical input to product positioning, field experience activities, innovation launches, and ongoing monitoring of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging scientific developments.
Partner with sales, marketing, legal, regulatory, launch, and product safety teams to coach field teams, support customer-facing activities, ensure the technical accuracy of promotional materials, and help manage product complaint or adverse event follow-up in line with company processes.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education level - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and license to practice in Canada.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in poultry veterinary practice, technical consulting, or a commercial animal health role.
Strong poultry technical expertise and the ability to translate product science into clear, evidence-based recommendations for veterinarians, nutritionists, feed mill teams, and poultry producers.
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills, with a high level of customer focus and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Outlook; fluent English; and a valid provincial driver's license.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
5+ years of poultry or animal health industry experience.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Experience supporting sales teams through technical coaching, onboarding, and field ride-alongs.
Experience reviewing or developing technically accurate promotional or training materials in a regulated animal health environment.

Travel: 40-50% annually.

As Poultry Technical Consultant, you will be part of Elanco's Farm Animal team supporting regional growth in the Canadian poultry health market through technical leadership, customer education, and field-based partnership with veterinarians, feed manufacturers, poultry producers, key opinion leaders, and other industry stakeholders.
