Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Engineer / Technical Consultant with 8 - 10 years of experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP system landscapes. As part of the Core ERP team within Digital Services, this role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. The Basis Engineer will collaborate closely with AMS partners, infrastructure teams, and cross-functional domain experts to deliver efficient, secure, and high-performing systems. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, system modernization, and the upcoming S/4HANA transformation journey.

About Digital Services
Digital Services is the run organization within Digital, responsible for the day-to-day operations of our global application and technology landscape. Beyond ensuring business continuity, the team drives continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality, working closely with Vendor Management, IT Procurement, and Legal.
As an orchestration capability, Digital Services manages and governs services across Application Services and Technology Services, ensuring that operations, suppliers, and projects function as one integrated ecosystem. The function follows ITIL best practices, focusing on end-to-end service lifecycle management - from service design and transition to operation and improvement.
Each service domain is led by a Service Owner, accountable for service delivery, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management in close alignment with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
Role Overview
The SAP Basis Engineer / Technical Consultant will be a key member of the Core ERP (Digital Services) team, responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP systems across ECC and S/4HANA environments. The role ensures high system availability, optimal performance, and compliance with corporate security and audit standards. It requires close collaboration with Application and Infrastructure partners within the Digital Services AMS model to ensure seamless operations and service delivery. The consultant is expected to proactively drive root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution for infrastructure-related issues using strong technical and analytical expertise. Additionally, this role will work closely with cross-functional teams across different ECC domains and integrated systems to ensure end-to-end operational stability and performance consistency.
