Job Summary The Service Technician Vet delivers post-sale services at customer sites, including setup, maintenance, and repair of products and services to ensure all function properly. This role performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving malfunctions. This role is also accountable to ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may favorably impact performance and providing user training on new products. Essential Functions Independently respond to assigned customer service calls; diagnose problems and safely remove, modify, repair, and install all core veterinary equipment with minimal supervision Learn and follow manufacturer guidelines on the operation, repair, maintenance and installation of equipment Inspect pre-installed products for any defects or damages, as well as conducting final post-installation inspections for proper operation or additional damage; ensure all manufacturer, Federal, and State regulations are met Maintain strong and supportive customer relationships by providing technical support after initial installation of Equipment, PC software, and hardware and ensuring that service commitments are met within standard response time Verify specific manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA and other applicable laws and regulations are followed Maintain all required records including (including service orders, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheet, and equipment related items) timely and accurately Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities Establish and maintain productive, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, vendors and colleagues Inventory Management: Determine parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests; manages vehicle inventory through regular restocking and regular inventory audits Personal/Vehicle Safety: Maintain a quality driving record; proper vehicle maintenance should be scheduled regularly to ensure we maintain a safe fleet on the road Ensures proper use and maintenance of all company provided assets, including but not limited to vehicle, phone, computer, parts, equipment, tools and uniforms Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 2 years of relevant work experience Mechanical/Carpentry/Plumbing/Heating/Electrical/Electronic related experience Preferred Requirements Trade school training in carpentry/plumbing/heating/electrical/electronic is highly desirable Previous experience servicing and installing x-ray equipment SAP experience Skills and Abilities Ability to thrive in an independent role with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills; listens attentively and asks questions when necessary.
