About the role
Here at Ambience, we never set out to be just another scribe. We're building the AI intelligence platform that restores humanity to healthcare and drives meaningful ROI for health systems across the country. Our technology helps providers focus on delivering great care by removing the administrative burden that pulls them away from patients and away from their most impactful work. Ambience delivers real-time coding-aware documentation and clinical workflow support across ambulatory, emergency and inpatient settings at the top health systems in North America. Our teams operate relentlessly with extreme ownership to build the best solutions for our health system partners. We value candor, positivity and deep thought - and we expect a lot from each other because we know the problems we're solving truly matter. Ambience was ranked #1 for Improving the Clinician Experience in the KLAS Research Emerging Solutions Top 20 Report, recognized by Fast Company as one of the Next Big Things in Tech, named one of the best AI companies in healthcare by Inc., and selected as a LinkedIn Top Startup in 2024 and 2025. We're backed by Oak HC/FT, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), OpenAI Startup Fund, and Kleiner Perkins - and we're just getting started. Ambience is looking for an ED Product Manager to own our Emergency Department platform end-to-end: roadmap, clinician experience, and go-to-market strategy. The ED is one of healthcare's highest-acuity, highest-velocity environments - and the place where documentation burden is most acute. Your job is to make Ambience the indispensable operating system for emergency medicine. This is a full-stack PM role. You own the product and the value story. You will define what gets built, drive execution across Engineering, Design, and Clinical AI, and partner with GTM to translate product investment into adoption and revenue. What you will accomplish Define and drive a compelling ED product roadmap grounded in clinical evidence, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback - sequenced so investments compound. Own the end-to-end ED workflow experience: patient arrival through triage, documentation, orders, disposition, and handoff. Speed, accuracy, and minimal friction are non-negotiable. Drive measurable improvements in clinician efficiency: time-to-chart, documentation completeness, after-shift charting reduction. Own ED quality metrics and eliminate the recurring pain points that drive support escalations or clinician drop-off. Build the ED ROI story across all stakeholders - physicians, physician employers (TeamHealth, Envision/USACS, SCP Health), and health systems often have misaligned incentives. The value narrative needs to work for all three. Partner with Product Marketing to translate value levers into positioning, packaging, and sales enablement. You own the substance; PMM owns the craft. Own adoption metrics and drive expansion into adjacent personas (triage nurses) and care settings (observation units, free-standing EDs). What we look for
