General summary: The Desktop Engineer supports the setup, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and computer equipment to ensure the smooth functioning of enterprise-wide desktop services across the organization. Working under close supervision, this role provides technical support for users, offering hands-on or remote assistance for computer setups, upgrades, software installations, and maintenance tasks. The Desktop Engineer troubleshoots and resolves desktop-related issues, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to clients. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware, software, and peripherals; performing routine maintenance tasks such as updates and patches; and setting up user accounts, profiles, and permissions. The role also involves assisting with user onboarding and offboarding, maintaining security measures such as antivirus software and encryption protocols, and collaborating with the IT team to safeguard sensitive data and prevent security breaches. Duties and Responsibilities: Support the setup, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upgrades of desktop hardware and computer equipment. Provide hands-on or remote technical support for computer setups, software installations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop-related issues to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. EDUCATION: High School Diploma WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions. Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and other online work-related activities. A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required, including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions, no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN, and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations. #LI-Hybrid
