Learn and comprehend assembly and test prototypes based on engineering design, quality recommendations and/or product improvement requests
Document test results for engineering requests
Operate material handling equipment to move parts and materials, as needed.
Use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner to complete assemblies; Maintain tools and equipment in working conditions
Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards
Read and follow engineered drawings
Evaluate BOM accuracy on NPD projects along with form fit and function
Identify and measure materials with tape measure, caliper, micrometer etc.
Order and handle any materials needed to perform projects
Monitor and maintain life cycle projects
Troubleshoot basic issues and determine root causes
Flex into other areas and departments as needed
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
2+ years of experience in manufacturing
Ability to become certified to operate PIT equipment (Terex Certification)
Experience with basic welding
Experience reading and understanding blueprints
Experience with reading and understanding tap measurements
Physical Requirements of the Job
Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:
10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling, and lifting
40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift
