Job Description A Nuclear Construction Project Engineer III (CSA) is a technical lead who manages the full lifecycle of nuclear facility projects. This role will focus on civil, structural and architectural disciplines (CSA) and bridge the gap between design and physical construction, working with project managers, multidisciplinary teams, superintendents, schedules, budgets, and compliance with strict regulatory safety standards. Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities : Engineering Coordination: Interpret design drawings and specifications, translating engineering deliverables into actionable Construction Work Packages (CWPs) for field personnel. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all field activities strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) guidelines, regulatory codes, and quality assurance plans. Material & Quantity Control: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of field-procured materials. Track weekly construction quantities and validate progress against the project budget. Issue Resolution: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and field changes, performing trend analyses to mitigate risks that could impact schedules or costs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the technical liaison between superintendents, external design consultants, project controls, and the client. System Turnover: Coordinate with the Startup team to smoothly transition completed systems from construction into operational handover. Assist with growing and developing junior team members. Additional tasks as delegated by the Project Manager / Director. Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Job Profile Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering. Experience: Typically, 5+ years of experience in heavy construction or nuclear engineering. Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with nuclear facility requirements beneficial, Department of Energy (DOE) orders, the Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC), or commercial nuclear standards. Skills: Strong communication, risk management, and the ability to interpret complex engineering plans and specifications. Ability to travel and relocate as needed. Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience with P6 or equivalent schedule software preferred. Experience with Autocad or equivalent cad software preferred. Strong proficiency in use of MS suite. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail -Ability to meet physical demands When working on an active construction site, may work in rough or uneven terrain. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting. Occasional climbing, bending / crouching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
