ROLE OVERVIEW: As Public Affairs Associate Director for Denmark, you will join Lilly's Corporate Affairs team in the Northern European Hub which is responsible for all Company interactions with the media, parliamentarians, government officials and community partners. It is a high profile function during a pivotal time for the business. You will be an outstanding government affairs, advocacy and policy professional with a strong network across the Danish healthcare and political landscape, excited to lead our public affairs work across Neuroscience, Cardiometabolic Health and Specialty Care in Denmark. Your primary focus will be Denmark, where you will drive policy change and shape the external environment across our therapeutic areas. You will also serve as the Specialty lead (oncology and immunology) within the growing Corporate Affairs function in the Nordics, complementing colleagues leading on Communications, Cardiometabolic Health and Neuroscience across the region, and will have responsibilities for wider pipeline environment shaping. It will be your responsibility to lead on specific projects and workstreams to best position existing and new products to key collaborators, protecting our license to operate and working in partnership with the wider Public Affairs and Pricing Reimbursement and Access teams and with regional and global Corporate Affairs colleagues. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Accountability for Lilly's external environment in Denmark - including developing and executing a public affairs strategy that can boost access and uptake to our medicines, and meaningfully improve the wider commercial environment in which we operate. Becoming an embedded member of the Nordic Corporate Affairs team with contribution across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Day-to-day contact for patient and advocacy groups, championing a strong and collaborative relationship to advocate the voice of patients. Partnering with our EU team to define and support communications priorities and stakeholder engagement on EU issues. Supporting Corp Affairs Communications team colleagues in media handling within the Nordics, including crisis communications. Leading on system readiness initiatives within the Nordic Corporate Affairs team, focused on our future pipeline. Operation and Execution Appreciation and adherence to the highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, including but not limited to current local and international regulations, laws, mentorship, codes of practice, Lilly policies, standards and other corporate legal obligations. Leading projects/agencies to achieve set objectives to time and to budget. ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES: Strong Danish stakeholder network: Leverage an established network across Danish government, payers and the healthcare system to shape outcomes and partnerships. Senior government / healthcare system expertise: Bring credible, senior-level experience from government, public affairs or the healthcare system. A passion for healthcare-related politics / policy and the difference that the life sciences industry can make. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & PREFERENCES: Demonstrated experience in developing and driving integrated public affairs and communications campaigns. A politics, communications, journalism or public policy background. Proficiency with AI and ML tools (i.e. Co-pilot) and data analytics software.
