Assemble fabricated metal components, subassemblies, and finished products according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work orders.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
Perform mechanical assembly, hardware installation, and final product fit-up.
Verify dimensions, alignments, and quality of assembled components.
Inspect parts for defects and ensure finished products meet company quality standards.
Assist with material handling, staging, packaging, and shipping preparation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with welders, machinists, powder coaters, and other production personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
Support other production and fabrication activities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Requirements
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, construction, or related trade.
Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, or assembly instructions.
Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment and processes.
Forklift certification or material handling experience.
Basic welding, machining, or fabrication knowledge.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
Work Environment
The Assembly Technician works in a fast-paced fabrication environment, with frequent interaction with other production staff. Safety, cleanliness, and teamwork are essential. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.
