Department: Social Services Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $38.15 - $45.78 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Social Worker (MSW) evaluates psychosocial status and needs of patients and provides social work services, with a focus on addressing the emotional and social problems related to illness, to patients in acute, transitional and home care settings. Coordinates the integration of Social Services function with the Case Management department and other services. Ensures quality of service and compliance with regulatory standards. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Licensure/Certification: Master's Degree in Social Work required. Knowledge: Minimum one year of social work experience in a health care setting (Pathway to Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provided). Demonstrated leadership, integrity, initiative and effective communication skills Knowledge of community resources and health care financial system.
