Affirm is seeking an experienced and people-focused Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and evolution of our Workplace function within the broader Places & Experiences team. Based out of our San Francisco HQ office and reporting to the Senior Manager of Real Estate & Workplace, this role will focus on delivering exceptional workplace experiences that support connection, productivity, and flexibility in a remote-first environment. This leader will play a critical role in ensuring our spaces are thoughtfully operated, consistently engaging, and aligned with Affirm's culture and ways of working.
Responsibilities
Own the North America workplace strategy and operating model, aligning office experience with business priorities, headcount planning, and ways of working.
Translate company and team needs into workplace plans, including capacity, service levels, and programming across all locations.
Make and drive decisions on workplace standards, policies, and investments, balancing employee experience, cost, and scalability.
Establish and track key performance metrics (e.g., employee experience, utilization, vendor performance, budget adherence) and drive continuous improvement.
Provide functional leadership across locations, ensuring consistency while adapting to local needs.
Develop and implement workplace programs, standards, and initiatives that bring consistency, functionality, and delight to our spaces.
Ensure offices are operated to foster collaboration, connection, and productivity for a primarily remote workforce.
Oversee workplace policies, procedures, and service delivery to ensure operational excellence and scalability.
Manage vendor relationships across workplace services (e.g., facilities, hospitality, office services), ensuring strong performance and cost efficiency.
Partner cross-functionally with teams such as People, IT, and Finance to deliver holistic workplace solutions.
Support office activations, events, and programming that strengthen culture and employee engagement.
Contribute to workplace-related projects, including office refreshes and improvements, ensuring alignment with design standards and employee needs.
Lead and develop a distributed Workplace team across North America, setting priorities, coaching team members, and building a high-performing function.
What We Look For
6-10 years of experience in workplace, facilities, hospitality, or office operations roles, ideally in a dynamic and hybrid/remote-first environment.
Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to coach and develop team members.
Experience owning multi-site or regional operations
Strong expertise in workplace operations, employee experience, and service delivery.
Exposure to scaling operations or building programs from scratch
Excellent operational and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Experience managing vendors and workplace budgets, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving workplace strategies in a hybrid environment.
While Affirm operates as a remote-first company, this role is expected to work regularly in person from our San Francisco office. Candidates must therefore be based in the Bay Area, willing to commute or willing to relocate prior to their start date.

USA California base pay range per year: $140,000 - $190,000
