Plan, execute, and optimise paid search, display, and affiliate campaigns across Japan and Taiwan markets (Google Japan, Yahoo! Japan, LINE Ads, and Taiwan-specific platforms)
Ensure all paid media traffic lands on the correct SEO-optimised pages within the online shop
Manage budgets, bids, and pacing across multiple platforms simultaneously
Report on campaign performance weekly with clear insights and recommended actions
New sales acquisition
Drive traffic and conversion for new subscription sales through search, display, and affiliate channels
Collaborate with the organic search and affiliate lead on landing page alignment and audience targeting
Support PC OEM trial conversion campaigns in Japan and Taiwan markets
Renewal support
Coordinate with the Renewal Sales team on digital touchpoints that complement physical direct mail (DM) campaigns
Build and optimise paid retargeting flows for manual renewal audiences
Cross-functional collaboration
Work with the Manila-based design and development team to brief landing page requirements in clear, actionable terms
Provide localisation guidance for ad copy, creative, and landing page content for Japan and Taiwan markets
Partner with the program manager (Tokyo) to align campaign timelines with broader product and sales initiatives
Support ANZ and broader APAC markets as needed alongside primary Japan and Taiwan responsibilities
Requirements
Essential
3+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with demonstrable exposure to Japan and/or Taiwan digital markets
Proven track record managing paid search and/or paid social campaigns familiarity with Yahoo! Japan Ads, Google Japan, or LINE Ads Platform is a strong advantage
Strong English communication skills written and spoken for daily collaboration with teams in Sydney, Tokyo, and Manila
Solid understanding of SEO principles and how paid and organic channels interact
Experience working with eCommerce or subscription-based products
Comfort with data able to pull your own reports, identify trends, and present findings clearly
Preferred
Experience managing campaigns specifically in Japan and/or Taiwan understanding of platform nuances, consumer behaviour, and localisation requirements
Familiarity with affiliate network management in Japanese or Taiwanese markets
Understanding of physical-to-digital conversion flows (e.g. direct mail to online shop)
Working knowledge of tag management and conversion tracking (Google Tag Manager, etc.)
Experience briefing or collaborating with remote creative and development teams
Experience in software, SaaS, or consumer subscription categories
Language skills
English is the primary working language for this role. Japanese and/or Chinese language skills are a genuine advantage given our Japan and Taiwan market focus, but we will not exclude strong candidates on language alone. Platform expertise and campaign performance track record matter most.
English Professional proficiency required. Primary language for all internal communication, reporting, and team collaboration.
Japanese A significant plus. Useful for platform management, ad copy review, and direct coordination with the Tokyo-based business team.
Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) A plus. Useful for Taiwan market campaign management, ad copy review, and localisation coordination.
Note: Candidates who bring Japanese or Traditional Chinese alongside strong English and proven paid media experience will be prioritised. Strong candidates with English only but deep Japan/Taiwan platform knowledge are still encouraged to apply.
