About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to develop and oversee the execution of marketing campaigns and strategies across all platforms to support Department of Air Force (DAF) marketing objectives, requiring excellent leadership, analytical and strategic planning skills, and a preference for collaborative environments. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained assisting in developing, overseeing and managing campaign planning in national, regional and local marketing campaigns; facilitate effective planning and placement of all paid and unpaid campaigning initiatives to support recruitment and brand management goals and efforts. Knowledge of marketing and public relations principles, practices, techniques, and demonstrates ability to conduct strategic communication campaigns and marketing research activities in support of civilian and military recruitment programs, while adhering to government policies and guidelines. 2. Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing research theories and communication principles and techniques, including sampling theory (probability and nonprobability), survey design and methodology, and inferential statistics for analyzing campaign data and trend analysis. 3. Ability to analyze data and trends to optimize marketing performance and skill to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems, and identify shortfalls/ changes required. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the strategic function and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of the organization; and to effectively apply agency safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, practices, and procedures, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 6. Skill in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that include earned traditional media, social media, community engagement, events, partnerships, paid media, boosted social media, and creative content development. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
