Help secure commitments for technology, platform enhancements and support conference fundraising
Develop a relationship scorecard for key partners inclusive of strategic vision, focus areas, and next steps
Prepare executives for productive engagements/meetings with product sponsors
Manage internal access and connectivity with sponsors across the organization
Develop strong working relationships with the investment product teams, legal, accounting, operations, and other internal partners.
Create and maintain a formalized action plan for large and opportunistic relationships, document existing relationship interactions, and brief relevant internal partners on partnership status and opportunities
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging investment themes.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Take a data-based approach to enhance existing services and/or build new service offerings by partnering with vendors, service delivery, and LPL technology including defining wireframes, functional specifications and operational flowcharts.
Define and continually refine key attributes of existing and new offerings including the product pricing, business case, economics, operational model
What are we looking for?
Requirements
7+ years of relevant experience preferable in the financial services industry with a Broker Dealer and/or Product Manufacturer
7+ years of experience in investment product management, strategy, or related roles
Core Competencies:
Strong negotiation skills
Confidence engaging directly with senior executives at LPL and Sponsors
Strong analytical skills with expert abilities in Excel. Solid PowerPoint skills are also important
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to build and maintain strong, influential business relationships with sponsors and LPL internal business partners
Organized. Possess the ability to manage toward deadlines with a high level of self-accountability
Product Knowledge. Expertise with Mutual Fund and ETF products
Industry Knowledge. Understanding of industry product and platform trends, pricing of sponsorship arrangements, product and platform fees and expense structures and current pricing models
Team player. Must be a team-oriented individual who is energized and motivated by team success more so than individual accomplishment
Collaborator. Must be a willing and accomplished collaborator who is able to drive successful consensus outcomes among business partners with potentially competing perspectives and motivations
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
Strong understanding of investment vehicles, capital markets, and portfolio construction
Licensing: Series 7
Experience with alternatives, SMAs, or model portfolios is a plus
Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, MiFID)
Previous experience in a Sponsor Relations/Strategic Partnership role is a plus

$121,514-$202,524/year

The Assistant Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for business-to-business interactions between LPL Financial and alternative, annuity, mutual fund and ETF partners. The assistant vice president will directly manage the corporate and economic relationships between LPL and partner companies, lead enterprise-level engagement, and support related initiatives.
