As a Product Management Intern within the Marketplace Value organization, you will work alongside an experienced Product Managers to contribute to one of the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives: building the analytical and intelligence infrastructure that underpins our B2B travel marketplace.
Specifically, you will work within the Marketplace Intelligence team, which is responsible for defining how the marketplace measures, attributes, and communicates value - to suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders. This is a foundational, pre-production research and design workstream: your outputs will be analytical frameworks, structured recommendations, and product specifications - not production code or shipped features.
Responsibilities
Observe & Learn: Shadow a Senior PM navigating a complex, cross-functional strategic initiative - from stakeholder alignment to methodology design.
Research & Benchmark: Conduct structured analysis of industry approaches to marketplace value measurement, attribution modeling, and supplier/buyer economics. Map findings against our internal frameworks.
Gap Analysis: Identify structural gaps between our current measurement capabilities and the requirements of a mature marketplace intelligence system. Prioritize by impact and feasibility.
Framework Contribution: Support the development and documentation of value taxonomy structures - categorizing and describing marketplace value units across supplier, client, and platform dimensions.
Specification Writing: Produce analytical briefs and functional pre-specifications that translate research findings into actionable, dev-ready requirements - inputs for a future build cycle, not the build itself.
Stakeholder-Ready Deliverables: Learn to translate complex analytical work into executive-level communication artifacts (structured memos, slide decks following Minto Pyramid logic).
Propose Solutions: Consolidate research findings with existing internal frameworks and present structured recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
Conceptual Roadmap: Develop a phased, prioritized view of intelligence capabilities - broken into problem statements, hypotheses, and user stories. Actual implementation will depend on resource availability and organizational priorities.
Live the Feature Lifecycle (pre-production)
You'll gain structured exposure to each phase of the product development process - without working directly in or on production systems:
Problem Statement - Document gaps in marketplace value measurement, grounded in data and stakeholder input.
Hypothesis - Articulate the expected value of resolving each gap.
Ideation - Facilitate and participate in solution design sessions with PMs, Data, Analytics, and Engineering.
Benefits & Impact - Model expected gains; frame trade-offs.
Dependencies / Risks / Unknowns - Identify feasibility constraints and data availability issues.
Success Definition - Define KPIs and acceptance criteria.
Conceptual Go-to-Market - Draft a stakeholder communication and adoption plan for proposed capabilities.
Exposure to PM Responsibilities
Participate in backlog discussions, prioritization sessions, and methodology review meetings.
Learn how to navigate cross-functional dependencies in a large, matrixed organization.
Present findings and recommendations to the broader Marketplace Value organization - gaining visibility and substantive feedback.
Requirements
Analytically rigorous: Comfortable with structured reasoning, data-driven framing, and working through ambiguity without a pre-defined answer.
Intellectually curious: Interested in marketplace economics, attribution theory, or data product design -or eager to develop that fluency fast.
Precise communicator: Able to adapt your message across audiences -from technical leads to senior business stakeholders.
Structured thinker: Instinctively organizes problems top-down; comfortable with frameworks like issue trees or Minto Pyramid logic.
Collaborative: Operates with confidence yet opened in cross-functional settings; assumes positive intent.
Agile-minded: Familiar with or eager to learn agile and product discovery practices.
Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast-moving, multicultural environment where scope evolves.
If you're drawn to the architecture of how platforms create and measure value -and want to work at the intersection of product strategy, data, and marketplace economics -we'd like to hear from you.
