The Chemours facility located in New Johnsonville, TN has an EHS Training Specialist position available. This position will report to the EHS & Training Manager . Relocation assistance is available for this role. The EHS Training Specialist will be a part of an exciting opportunity to impact the company's safety compliance and performance programs through training. The position provides leadership, technical support, guidance, program advancement, and auditing support, in order to maintain the Johnsonville site's compliance with applicable Federal, State, Corporate, and Site safety, health and environmental regulations and requirements. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Demonstrate and p romote a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence through all training activities. Conduct job analysis for a variety o f Operations positions to determine initial and continuing training needs. Work with subject matter experts to d evelop, administer, and deliver site training programs , materials, and job aids using a variety of methods (classroom, field-based, hands-on, blended learning) that comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and record-retention requirements. Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with site and record-retention requirements. Integrate real-world, plant-specific situations into the training; and monitor changes to plant, procedures, or jobs to keep training up-to-date. Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance data. Facilitate both initial qualification and refresher training as required by site standards and regulatory programs . Support on-the-job training by coaching and guiding subject matter experts and peer trainers. Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, which may include serving as a PSM element lead or backup lead as needed. Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with site and record-retention requirements. Apply adult learning principles to develop training materials, job aids and performance support tools. Participate and assist in preparation of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits. Actively participate on site and corporate safety and training networks. To perform this job effectively, you will have: Passion to provide creative and innovative tools to help people learn and develop skills while fostering continuous improve ment culture. Demonstrated ability to plan, manag e, and execute a variety of t raining tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to make effective group presentations; provide one-on-one training; observe on- job behaviors and provide constructive feedback; and work effectively with teams. Effective writing skills, oral skills, speech clarity, and reading comprehension. The following is required for this role: High school diploma or GED - required ; associate or bachelor's degree - preferred (technical or related field). 3 + years experience in a manufacturing , chemical, or industrial environment. Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance practices, equipment, and safety fundamentals. Strong written and verbal communication skills . Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, practical terms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to effectively listen, understand trainee needs, and address concerns in a constructive manner.
