See yourself at Twilio Join us as a Product Manager on the Edge team, leading product development for the unified API platform. This position is a critical role designed to drive the evolution of Twilio's Edge Services, powering the critical gateway where developers and intelligent agents interact with our platform. As a Product Manager (L2) on the Edge Platform Team, you will focus on building next-generation API management tools, elevating the Developer Experience, and pioneering our new Agentic experiences. You will play a key role in empowering developers and AI agents alike, ensuring seamless, low-latency, and highly reliable interactions across the Twilio ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Next-Gen API Management: Drive the execution and lifecycle of Twilio's core APIs, ensuring robust API governance, security, and high performance at the edge for millions of developers.
- Elevate Developer Experience (DX): Build friction-free onboarding workflows, interactive sandboxes, and headless tooling that allow developers to integrate, test, and deploy Twilio services instantly.
- Pioneer the Agent Experience: Help shape how AI agents and LLMs interact with Twilio's Edge Platform. You will execute on features that allow intelligent agents to autonomously discover APIs, understand context, map user intent, and safely execute complex workflows.
- Bridge Humans and AI Agents: Partner with Core Engineering and AI teams to design interfaces and protocols where human developers and AI agents can seamlessly co-author, debug, and manage applications.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and downstream product teams to ensure a consistent, secure, and unified gateway experience across the Twilio platform without compromising the reliability of our Tier-0 infrastructure.
- Deliver Adaptive Gateway Experiences: Leverage usage data, API traffic patterns, and intent signals to deliver proactive, in-line troubleshooting, automated error handling, and contextual routing at the exact millisecond a request hits the edge.
Requirements
- Required:
- Experience: 1-2 years of Product Management, technical entrepreneurial (e.g., technical founder), or intensive software project experience.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong technical background with hands-on experience consuming/building APIs and a foundational understanding of how web applications, headless architectures, and agents interact.
- Developer Empathy: Deep understanding of the developer persona, including their workflows, toolchains (e.g., Postman, SDKs, CLI), and what makes an API easy or frustrating to use.
- Execution Mindset: Strong ability to manage tactical execution at the scrum level while balancing the extreme reliability demands of edge systems with rapid feature delivery.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Proven ability to thrive at the intersection of business logic and complex technical infrastructure, adapting products in a fast-moving AI and API economy.
- Desired:
- Recent graduates with a strong computer science background, startup experience, or significant side projects building applications with LLM-backed agents are highly encouraged to apply.
