2+ years of leadership, Foreperson, Lead Hand, or crew supervision experience.
Strong knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) construction practices and fibre optic network infrastructure.
Extensive experience with fibre testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Strong understanding of telecommunications construction standards and customer specifications.
Experience leading crews and coordinating multiple work activities simultaneously.
Ability to read and interpret fibre schematics, utility drawings, construction plans, and splice diagrams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with telecommunications providers and construction practices within the Ontario market is considered an asset.
Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
Pole climbing experience is considered an asset.
Work Conditions
Work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
Frequent travel throughout Ontario and occasional out-of-town assignments may be required.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

$37.41 - $43.66 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.Employees also receive a competitive retirement package. You are an experienced Splicing Foreperson with extensive fibre optic splicing and testing expertise combined with strong leadership skills. You will lead and support a team of Fibre Optic Splicers and Technicians on Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects, ensuring all fibre installations, splicing, testing, and commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Working independently or as part of a larger construction team, you will oversee daily field operations, coordinate project activities, manage quality control, and provide technical guidance to field crews while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and supervise Fibre Optic Splicers and Technicians in aerial, buried, and building applications.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily splicing and testing activities across multiple project locations.
Perform advanced fibre optic splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning work when required.
Review project drawings, splice schematics, utility plans, and customer specifications to ensure accurate execution.
Analyze and troubleshoot fibre network issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all work meets customer standards, quality requirements, and Ledcor construction practices.
Conduct field quality inspections and maintain accurate project documentation, redlines, testing records, and production reports.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and customers to support project delivery.
Manage crew productivity, scheduling, materials, tools, and equipment.
Support inventory management and ensure proper maintenance and calibration of fibre testing equipment.
Lead daily tailboards and ensure compliance with Ledcor HS&E policies, OH&S regulations, and customer safety requirements.
Complete administrative responsibilities including timesheets, production tracking, permits, and daily reporting.
Assist with training and development of junior splicers and new employees.
