Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management or a related discipline AND three years of related industry experience in in the " Areas of Related Industry Experience " listed below
Associates degree in Construction Management or a related discipline and four years of related experience in the " Areas of Related Industry Experience " listed below
Areas of Related Industry Experience
Residential and Commercial materials and methods.
Experience with technical drawings and software.
Building codes and ordinances
LEED and the Green Building Initiative with experience on renewable energy and construction material as it relates to construction materials and processes.
Construction surveying methods.
Construction estimating with experience in residential and commercial takeoffs, specification, and plan review.
Scheduling and planning methods. Knowledge of various industry software applications used to aid contractors in the scheduling and planning of projects
Environmental health and safety, experience with OSHA procedures and site safety practices in an industrial setting.
AND Documentation in two or more of the following:
a. Teaching and/or industry training experience in Construction Management or construction-related industry consistent with professional associations
b. Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military.
c. General Contractor/ Building Inspector
d. Current industry-recognized certification within the field of construction management (certified building inspector, OSHA Construction industry trainer, certified construction manager, etc.)
Preferred Requirements
K nowledge about the building construction industry and knowledge of the following subject areas but not limited to:
General Contractors License
Relevant industry software
Professional registry such as engineering or architecture
Online teaching
Curriculum development
