About the role

Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Subsea Asset Integrity Engineer - Subsea Controls and Systems to join the Subsea, Marine and Shipping team. Reporting to the Subsea Engineering Lead, this role will be based in Chevron's office in Bengaluru. The Subsea Asset Integrity Engineer is part of the Subsea team within Chevrons ENGINE. The Subsea Asset Integrity Engineer is accountable for the execution and continuous improvement of Chevron's Subsea Asset Integrity Program. This role manages the program framework, maintains systems of record, and provides technical leadership and training to ensure effective application across the organization. Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve digital records of subsea infrastructure and asset integrity history within Integrity Elementz (IE).
  • Maintain subsea asset integrity data, including ArcGIS subsea layouts and associated databases (with support from Subsea Surveying Team). Includes interfacing with other subsea disciplines within the ENGINE.
  • Serve as the system owner for Integrity Elementz, including management of legacy Hess data transfer and integration.
  • Develop procedures, work packs, and execution plans for offshore asset integrity inspections and subsea intervention campaigns.
  • Train Chevron engineers and contractors on the use of Integrity Elementz before, during, and after inspections.
  • Upload, catalog, and manage inspection media within Integrity Elementz.
  • Manage subsea asset anomaly identification, tracking, prioritization, and closure in collaboration with subsea engineers.
  • Support the setup of new subsea assets in Integrity Elementz and facilitate handover between Major Capital Projects (MCP) and Operations.
  • Plan offshore trips to interface with Field Operations personnel and subsea intervention crews to support execution as required.
  • Support the subsea team in the implementation of reliability and asset integrity processes.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for emergent subsea facilities, as required

  • To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Subsea Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting a subsea asset integrity program.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience in the design, engineering, manufacture, and operation of subsea hardware and systems.
  • Subsea controls experience, including design, development, operation, and diagnostics.
  • Direct experience in the design and/or manufacture of subsea hardware.
  • Offshore operations and project execution experience.
  • Experience leading technical, multi-discipline teams.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, including development and execution of work orders.
  • Required Technical Skills
  • Direct experience and working knowledge of subsea controls equipment and systems.
  • In-depth understanding of the mechanical, electrical power, and controls systems used in subsea production systems, including the ability to monitor performance, identify abnormal conditions, and respond effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot subsea controls anomalies, including HPUs, MCSs, and Chemical Distribution Units.
  • In-depth knowledge of the design and function of SCMs, subsea chokes, HPUs, EPUs, MCS software, subsea power and communications systems, and subsea chemical and hydraulic distribution systems.
