Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.
The Team and Role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Logitech, you will be a key guardian of our product lifecycle. You are responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and manufacturing excellence of our products after they have launched. You will tackle complex engineering challenges, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams and JDM/OEM partners in the APAC region to maintain the high standards Logitech is known for.
Your Contribution:
Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO): Lead the evaluation and implementation of design changes for mass-produced products to improve reliability, address component obsolescence, or reduce costs.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Drive deep-dive investigations into field failures and manufacturing yield issues. Use data-driven approaches to implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Supplier & JDM Collaboration: Partner with suppliers and JDM partners to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality mechanical parts (plastic injection, metal stamping, etc.).
Cost Optimization (VAVE): Identify and execute Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) opportunities to optimize product cost without compromising the user experience.
Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the mechanical lead in sustaining activities, collaborating with Quality, Procurement, EE, and Firmware teams to resolve multi-disciplinary issues.
Documentation: Maintain and update 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) throughout the product lifecycle.
