Experience with fault management design.
Experience reviewing software architecture, design, and code.
Experience with data budgets, command and telemetry definitions, and ground system integration.

CO applicants is $181,626.00 - $254,275.35
WA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will work with other software development engineers and other discipline teams to define the systems and software across our Lunar programs . The systems and software will directly have an impact on the missions planned. Software is the heart of space vehicle development so your ability to collaborate with other discipline teams effectively will be an important aspect of this role. You will also have long term vision and strategy for the products to truly sustain lunar missions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with systems engineers, developers , and program managers to define system autonomy behaviors and software requirements.
Train, guide, and mentor team members on software systems engineering best practices.
Set direction and goals for the team regarding the development of requirements, verification events, and test cases.
Manage hardware-software integration problems and work across vehicle and mission design teams.
Deeply understand the safety-critical software development process and ensure that software behavior is properly captured to ensure a safe mission.
