Software Engineer, Java, VP

Responsibilities

• You'll also be:
• Applying Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog
• Producing resilient and long-lived software and acting flexibly to cope with future needs
• Delivering intentional architecture and formulating emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation and prototyping
• Designing and developing software with a focus on the automation of build, test and deployment activities, using executable patterns
• The skills you'll need
• Additionally, you'll demonstrate:
• At least 12 years of experience working with Core Java, including multithreading, microservices, Spring, and Unix shell scripting
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud‑native development
• Strong database expertise, preferably with Sybase and/or PostgreSQL
• Proven experience in the design, development, and deployment of microservices architectures
• Knowledge of industry‑recognised frameworks and modern development tooling
• Prior experience building solutions for investment banking or the financial services domain, which will be an added advantage
