Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing the supervisors and staff per established budgets to provide all security related functions to Northern Market Hospitals. Completes routine appraisals of supervisors per System protocol. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance of security programs, to include conducting site reviews, vulnerability assessments, and code drills, writing audit/review reports, reviewing findings, and making recommendations to Executive Director. Develops and implements corrective action plans. Establishes/maintains customer relationships with a variety of groups, including hospital leadership and staff, patients, and visitors, to enable the performance of security department services. Responsible for planning, developing and implementing security plans and programs, including Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Information & Asset Protection, Incident Management and/or Investigations. Provide representation for the hospital at security and related meetings with outside agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA), Hall County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA), Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR - formerly Health Resources and Services Administration - HRSA), the Gainesville Police Department, Hall County Sheriff's Office, and any other agency where attendance and participation would promote the objectives of the hospital. Responsible to perform annual risk analysis for the Northern Market, particularly with respect to level of crime, reported security incidents, workplace violence, threats from natural and manmade disasters. Prepare and manage annual operating and capital expense budgets for the Northern Market security departments. Ensure department expenses are in line with established operating budgets. Develop and maintain accurate statistical data on security activities. With collected data, provide statistical analysis in a monthly review and annual report with recommendations for improvement. Conducts periodic reviews of all security and security related policies (minimum annually). Recommend and implement changes where needed. Informs the Executive Director regarding circumstances or situations which have or may have serious impact on the hospital. Guides the supervisor team in planning, assigning and directing the
