THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 SECURITY SPECIALIST (FORCE PROTECTION/ANTI-TERRORISM) (MI CRTC), Position Description Number NGT5007000 and is part of the MI Alpena CRTC, National Guard. This is a temporary position not to exceed the current fiscal year. Position may be extended without competition if funding becomes available. Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience. Have knowledge in the established Department of Defense (DoD), AF, and ANG security programs. The applicant must have knowledge of AF security concepts, principles, and practices required to review, independently analyze, and resolve complex security issues that involve personnel from various functional program managers. The applicant must have knowledge of authority and Use of Force legal issues regarding conflicting local, state and federal security laws. Can use skills to control or eliminate issues; proven techniques may be adapted to eliminate or minimize high-risk situations.
