Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for managing growth in distributor stock sales and residential contractor sales for the Middle and East TN markets that is very dynamic in terms of distributor complexity, volume of locations, and territory size
- You will partner with regional channel director, sales engineers and sales manager/director on a territory channel strategy and plan each year; and effectively execute this plan against set targets
- You will continuously support customer issue resolution
- You will make recommendations to management and channel director to increase effectiveness of initiatives and programs
- You will track and measure distributor and residential contractor growth using sales reporting tools and review stock levels with each channel partner on an on-going basis.
- You will strategically evaluate and optimize inventory at assigned distributors to ensure adequate levels of standard control and distribution equipment products to maximize sales. You will make recommendations on product changes, layout changes, and stock levels to optimize Eaton's position.
- You will independently develop and implement action plans targeted at YOY growth and agreed performance levels.
- You will make recommendations to management and channel director regarding potential challenges or issues on a case-by-case basis, offering solutions and pro-actively scheduling joint sales calls.
- You will train distributors on how to use internal programs including but not limited to Order Center, Project Center, Bid Manager, and the Commitments program

Requirements
- Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the electrical industry
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

- Strong electrical industry and product knowledge
- Distribution knowledge and/or experience
- Strong product line knowledge
- Minimum 3 years in a commercial assignment, and 1 year in a DSR function or minimum 3 years in an outside sales role with distributor responsibility
- Strong key channel relationships and knowledge of major accounts within the sales territory
- Understand sales process and channel relationships with limited internal oversight
- Ability to learn/teach electronic/computer processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflict effectively
- Ability to make regular visits to distributor locations within the territory
- Ability to establish and build customer relationships within the market area
- Possess Eaton electrical product, service, and market knowledge
- Possess presentation, training and planning skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of markets/industry issues and key trends

- The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $107,500 - $157,500.
