Job Description : Day Operator Huntsman is seeking a Day Operator supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas. This position will report to the Sr. Operations Manager. Job Scope The Day Operator is responsible for ensuring that the requested maintenance for their areas of responsibility is properly prioritized, planned, and completed. This role ensures that operations equipment is properly isolated, cleared, and ready for maintenance at the most opportune time. It also ensures that maintenance is not delayed longer than necessary and that the equipment is returned to service with minimal impact on the operating schedule. Key metrics for this role include a low work request backlog, proper prioritization of work, integration with the production schedule, on-time inspection frequencies, and an accurate and up-to-date inventory of shutdown-flagged work. In summary, as a Day Operator you will: Be accountable for adhering to all Corporate and plant policies, including OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and TCEQ air, water, and waste regulations. Prioritize work requests and progress them to the planning stage. Ensure work request descriptions are complete to allow proper planning of activities. Manage the development of LOTO, isolation, clearing, and maintenance preparation activities. This can be completed by the DayOp/OMC but should include organizing shift workers to assist. Ensure equipment is properly prepared for maintenance on time each day to prevent productivity or efficiency losses. Organize and coordinate maintenance activities for scheduled outages. Support emergency repairs across the facility to ensure continuity of operations. Support larger integrated outages involving more than one unit. Work closely with the Conroe Site Lead Operator to achieve production and maintenance repair objectives. Ensure housekeeping remains at a high level and hold maintenance and operations personnel accountable for excellent housekeeping performance.
