About the role
You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer/Architect in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages overall requirement in administering construction contracts in developing project scopes, cost estimates, and/or design builds/request for proposals; 2) Provides subject matter expert-level guidance to engineers, architects and technicians on architectural and engineering methods during the design and construction period of project (i.e, acquisitions strategies, pre-construction conferences, constructability reviews); 3) Monitors quality assurance and safety compliance with plans and specifications; and 4) Evaluates facility construction workload against critical priorities to develop creative, technically sound solutions to problems not remedied by standard, pre-defined processes.
