We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily plant operations by performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and machine repair. This role keeps production running efficiently and safely while contributing to a high performance manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and ISO 14001 EMS requirements .
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment .
Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues to reduce downtime .
Respond quickly to breakdowns and production requests .
Complete preventive maintenance tasks and identify potential failures .
Accurately document maintenance work and parts used in SAP .
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and P\&IDs .
Use light rigging equipment when needed .
Perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, standing, and pulling .
Maintain housekeeping standards in work and production areas .
Perform other duties as assigned .
Requirements
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
2-5+ years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, or equivalent military training
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. , occasionally move loads up to 100 lbs.
Comfortable with heights, ladders, confined walking/standing for 10-12 hours
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and flexible hours as needed .
Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to learn quickly and document work accurately .
Preferred: Multi craft experience (welding, millwright, pipefitting, lubrication)
NCDOL Journeyman Apprentice (Level I or II)
Experience with precision maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment .
Previous maintenance experience in a Fiber Optics Cabling organization.
Experience with 24v/120v/240v/480v 3 phase systems
