About the role

RCS is seeking one individual to serve on a temporary basis (NTE 1 year) as the Deputy Operations Officer. The RCS Deputy Operations Officer provides support to the RCS Operations Officer in all matters related to operations, including administrative, financial, human resources, and capital asset management and ensures that operational activities are executed within allotted budget and timelines. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/02/2026. For a GS-14 position detail, you must currently be a GS-14. For details, employees do not have to meet the qualification requirements for the position to which they are detailed, except for minimum education, licensure, and certification requirements Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying/traveling with items such as books and a portable laptop.
