The Quality Supplier Manager 2 provides strategic leadership for quality across ASML's supply chain, driving supplier performance to meet the demanding standards required for scalable, volume production and long-term growth. As the senior quality authority within cross-functional Supplier Account Teams (SAT), the QSM shapes quality strategy, steers risk-informed decision-making, and ensures robust execution across suppliers and regions. The role requires continuous improvement, operational excellence, and end-to-end quality maturity, aligning external partners with ASML's global quality vision and strengthening the overall supply chain resilience and performance.
Role and responsibilities
Build, manage, and further develop resilient relationships with strategic suppliers, acting as the primary quality interface and aligning stakeholders across functions, locations, and hierarchy levels at ASML and the supplier.
Represent the quality function within Supplier Account Teams and actively shape supplier strategies for complex serial production scopes.
Lead quality assurance and control activities, including audits, assessments, and improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with ASML standards and driving continuous enhancement of supplier performance and QMS.
Ensure material availability at required quality levels and steer quality contributions in new product introductions and the transition to volume production in close cross-functional collaboration.
Drive operational excellence by leading complex, cross-functional improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Manage complex quality risks and escalations, including root cause analyses, and define and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Enable robust, risk-based decision-making on supplier deviations and release readiness in alignment with key stakeholders.
Analyze quality and performance data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities, and translate these into clear reporting and management-ready decision materials.
Develop supplier capabilities and maturity through audits, coaching, and the implementation of best-practice quality methods, ensuring sustainable embedding of improvements in processes and ways of working.
Provide expert guidance on quality standards, methodologies, and supplier-related decisions, while influencing stakeholders through clear, fact-based communication.
Foster a culture/mindset of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment between supplier performance, business needs, and customer expectations, and contributing to the broader quality community.
Education and experience
Completed university degree (Master's degree) in engineering, quality management, industrial engineering, or an equivalent qualification; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with deep and relevant professional experience.
≥5 years of relevant international experience in quality management, ideally in manufacturing or high-tech.
Strong experience with quality management systems and supplier quality tools, including system development.
Solid understanding of key methodologies (APQP, PPA, SPC, FMEA, 8D, Zero Defects); Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is a plus.
contributing to the broader quality community Experience managing quality escalations, leading cross-functional improvements, and supporting NPI and ramp-up.
Proven track record in audits, supplier development, and stakeholder management up to senior level.
Strong skills in data analysis, risk management, and preparing decision materials for management forums.
