Description of Work Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor III, this position will be responsible for mowing grass, re-seeding, fertilizing, liming, and repairing any washed out areas of the facility grounds. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Completing orders per policy for fertilizer, lime, and re-seeding of new seed beds and washed out areas. - Maintaining and operating tractor with mower, bush hog, and scraper blade attachments. - Maintaining and operating multiple lawn mowers, weed eaters, and basic grounds keeping equipment. - Performing snow removal from the Institution's parking lots, walkways, and roads leading to the unit. - Supervising and directing offenders that are cleaning state vehicles. - Supervising and directing offenders daily on tasks that need completing, including building cleaning, trash compacting, and landscaping tasks.
