Associate Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance: Assist in installing and maintaining geotechnical instruments such as inclinometers, piezometers, and settlement markers.
• Data Collection: Collect and record monitoring data from the job site.
• Equipment Calibration: Regularly check instruments to ensure they are working correctly and keep tools organized and ready for use.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and summaries of the collected data.
• Collaboration & Safety: Work closely with engineers and the project team while strictly following safety rules and site regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Education/Experience: Minimum Secondary School education or 0-2 years of experience in testing or a related field.
• Industry Knowledge: Working experience in the construction industry and basic knowledge of testing concepts and computer skills.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to withstand challenging on-site working conditions.
• Mindset: Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills. Must have a strong quality focus and the determination to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

Job Overview Element is seeking a Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician . In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects. This includes scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation, and setting up and commissioning monitoring equipment.
