Warehouse Forklift Operator

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
• 2-3 year previous forklift manufacturing/production experience.
• Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
• Competencies
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work with a team or individually without issue.
• Must be Crown certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Physical Requirements
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• The team member frequently is required to climb or balance
• The team member is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Working Conditions
• Generally works in a manufacturing environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
• The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures especially in the summer and winter months
• The noise level is frequently loud

Job Description: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include: Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse. Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment. Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment. Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality Ensures dunnage (ie: pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area Transfers HFI'd pallets to proper storage locations Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisor Follows all SOP's and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise Assist QA in locating pallets for sampling Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping Performs other related duties as required Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
