Establish development methods and metrics leveraging Agile and DevSecOps practices for ground system software.
Define space-to-ground and ground-to-ground integration plans, including requirements verification and cross-disciplinary coordination with spacecraft systems and flight software teams.
Define and develop mission-critical interfaces (organizational, physical, functional, hardware/software, operational) for space ground control systems.
Define and manage tasking to a team of support engineering staff and monitor delivery of professional engineering studies, recommendations, and analysis.
Develop and analyze system requirements for engineering models, simulations, test beds, special test equipment, and end-to-end integration testing.
What You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Project Engineer - Software Architecture & Systems Software Engineering
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or mathematics.
6+ years' experience with multiple aspects of space ground systems experience such as enterprise integration, space vehicle to ground integration, ground systems development, and new technology insertion into existing systems.
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
Must be technically persuasive with strong written and verbal skills.
Experience with SIGINT mission from multiple aspects of space systems integration, such as space-ground-user integration, payloads to spacecraft bus, spacecraft bus integration, ground software to hardware development and new technology insertion into existing space applications.
Must be able to work well in a team environment.
An active Top Secret/SCI clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to the above, the Senior Project Engineer - Software Architecture & Systems Software Engineering:
10+ years' experience with multiple aspects of space ground systems experience such as enterprise integration, space vehicle to ground integration, ground systems development, and new technology insertion into existing systems.
Proven technical leadership and strong interpersonal skills required for interacting with Aerospace peers, internal and external customers, and contractor representatives.
Demonstrated the ability to clearly define technical tasks, form and lead technical teams.
