Reporting to the Sanitation Manager at our Louisville, KY facility, you will lead the 3rd shift sanitation and production team members, oversee sanitation activities and drive process improvements to ensure compliance with food safety standards. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Plan, deliver, train, and monitor sanitation team processes and methods across the plant Plan and implement daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning and sanitation activities Develop and maintain the Master Cleaning Schedule, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Plant Improvement Plan, and Environmental Swabbing Program in alignment with USDA regulations Partner with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement of sanitation processes Conduct plant inspections and audits, tracking corrective actions and ensuring timely resolution Report food safety concerns to leadership and take immediate action when needed Coach team members and enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures Evaluate team performance, communicate expectations, and support employee development Support compliance with regulatory and internal food safety standards Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree; or HS Diploma/GED plus 2+ years related experience in a food manufacturing operations environment. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety guidelines Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points plans Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations Understanding of Clean In Place and Clean Out of Place systems Wet and Dry clean experience, as well as the 7 steps of Sanitation Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles Knowledge of plant equipment, sanitation processes, and safety practices Understanding of microbiology related to sanitation practices preferred Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational losses Ability to work an alternative and rotating schedule Physical Requirements More information about essential tasks and the facility will be shared during the hiring process. This role may require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply: You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.
