Responsibilities

  • Process daily ACH activity including origination, returns, and exception items; monitor account usage and transaction patterns for anomalies.
  • Execute all daily batch control jobs related to ACH; process systematic and manual exceptions as needed.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of ACH activity, investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process incoming disputes received from the Fraud Department.
  • Handle stop payments, DNE and unauthorized ACH transactions in accordance with NACHA rules and bank policy.
  • Respond to and resolve internal and external inquiries pertaining to ACH transactions, rules, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory retention requirements for ACH documentation.
  • Ensure full adherence to applicable laws and regulations including Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC, and the USA PATRIOT Act / Customer Identification Program (CIP).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, risk, and operations teams to support audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • What Do You Need?
  • Strong working knowledge of NACHA operating rules, SEC codes, and Prenote requirements.
  • 2+ years previous working experience with ACH.
  • Hands-on ACH processing experience within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve payment issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Technology Skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous experience with FIS systems.
  • Familiar with AI & Automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
