The Program: The Elders Graduate Agronomy Program is a two-year graduate program, specifically designed to launch your career as an agronomist, a trusted role providing leading advice to growers to improve their yields. The program provides exposure to a variety of cropping segments, broadening your knowledge and understanding of both Elders and the wider agricultural industry. Overall, the program has a strong track record of bright developing agronomists, setting you up with the skills and experience needed to transition into a permanent role by the end of the program. What you can expect: Comprehensive Learning: Access structured learning experiences, including industry-leading training, field days, development summits, and demonstrations. Hands-on Experience: Work alongside experienced agronomists, supporting on-farm activities and implementing management plans to build practical skills. Diverse Exposure: Gain broad experience across projects, products, and technologies, while working with retail and sales teams to understand business operations. Career Growth: Develop key skills in sales, marketing, relationship management, decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management-preparing you for a successful career in agriculture. Networking and Collaboration: Connect with fellow graduates and build a strong network across industry experts, suppliers, and farmers. Support and Mentorship: Receive ongoing guidance from experienced agronomists and technical leaders, gaining valuable insights to support your career growth. About you: Hold a tertiary qualification in Agriculture or related discipline, completed within the last 3 years. Demonstrates a strong passion for agriculture and a genuine commitment to supporting rural communities and growers. A proactive self-starter who thrives on challenges, seeks continuous growth, and goes above and beyond to excel in agronomy. Builds strong, trusted relationships through excellent communication, providing clear and practical advice to farmers, suppliers, and colleagues. Adaptable and open to change, with a willingness to learn from diverse agronomic practices and embrace development opportunities across Australia.
