5+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar, with tenant improvement and/or special project experience
Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry-related trade certification/education
Expertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management
Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations
Expertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development
Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives
Working Conditions:
Site-based position in Edmonton, AB
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Ability to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test

Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects to completion
Promotes the overall site safety program including subcontractor compliance with Ledcor standards, the Health Safety and Environmental Plan (HSE Plan), and all applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes
Ensures that field staff are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes
Actively participates in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planning, with consideration for tenant improvement and special project requirements
Ensures project execution aligns with Ledcor's Construction Operations Manual and takes ownership of developing the Project Quality Program (PQP)
Review and maintain schedule, ensure milestones are met, identify scheduling issues and delays and lead solution development across tenant improvement and special projects
Maintains strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants in fast-paced project environments
Supports and promotes Ledcor's core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and success
Managing hourly employees as required, including forepersons, carpenters, and labour staff
