Lawrence County Health Department is seeking a passionate and community-driven individual to serve as the CommUNITY Project Coordinator . This role is central to implementing the Icelandic Prevention Model (IPM) locally and helping to create a healthier, more supportive environment for youth. As the lead point of contact, the Coordinator will work closely with local, regional, state, national, and international partners to champion youth wellbeing, drive collaboration, and guide the strategic rollout of this internationally recognized model. Status: Full Time, Contract with benefits. 37.5 hours per week. Sick and vacation leave will be accrued per pay period. Retirement, dental insurance, health insurance will be offered. Pay Rate: $18.07 - $22.46, negotiable with additional experience. A 5% increment will be awarded upon completion of a 6-month probationary period. Reports to: Director Location: Lawrence County Health Department, Louisa, KY Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Coalition Building and Facilitation Serve as the primary liaison for project implementation. Facilitate regular coalition and working group meetings with community partners across health, education, youth services, and more. Build and maintain meaningful partnerships that foster equity, inclusion, and shared leadership. Community Engagement Mobilize community participation and increase public understanding of CommUNITY and the IPM approach. Promote youth engagement and co-design opportunities ensuring youth voices are centered in all planning and decision-making processes. Survey Implementation and Evaluation Support Build and maintain meaningful partnerships with school partners. Support school partners in administering youth surveys and achieving an 80% participation rate. Collaborate with researchers and partners to ensure quality and consistency of data collection and usage. Program Guidance and Strategic Alignment Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Planet Youth model and implementation guidance. Regular participation in workshops and training. Communication and Coordination Manage internal and external communications related to initiatives. Track progress, coordinate reporting, and support storytelling to demonstrate impact. Support grant reporting, fundraising efforts, and strategic planning for long-term sustainability. Minimum Education, Training, or Experience: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health, education, health and human services, or related field is required. Must have three (3) years of health, human services, public health, or education experience. Master's degree in related services fields and/or education and training in Public Health, Education, Project Management, or closely related field may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis. Preferred: Knowledge of the Lawrence County community and existing relationships with community partners; experience in community coordination, partnership development, or facilitation; experience in youth engagement.
