Acquisition & Deployment
Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
Provides input for documentation on new or existing networks.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure networks meet documented user requirements.
Operational Management
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Must have experience with Viasat KG's to include 142's, 250X's, 250XS, 255, and 175F.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
50% travel will be required
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of network administration experience.
Must possess and maintain a SECRET.
BA/BS degree - may substitute additional years of experience.
Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
Must meet DOW 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges.
Can demonstrate Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
Can demonstrate knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
Network experience includes DMVPN with IPSEC tunnels.

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $75,325. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
