Associates degree or other two year technical degree in a related discipline and three (3) years of related work experience. A combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. APICS certification a plus.
Experience with SAP R/3 Logistics module (emphasis on Production and Production Planning) desired.
Strong proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication skills and effective at building relationships at all levels of the organization.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with strong problem- analysis and solving skills.
Ability to work overtime as required by production/customer demands.

Position type: Exempt
Plan production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and high utilization of available capacity.
Maintain/set material master data, such as costing lot size, production lot sizes, safety stock levels (with approval). Mark and release cost estimates.
Analyze, plan, and confirm sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements via SAP and FastPro.
Review and plan new sales orders; create production orders; communicate critical dates to other departments as needed; provide timely confirmation of sales orders to the Sales department as per our marathon goals.
Analyze the master schedule to ensure materials, manpower and resources are available to support the plan horizon.
Establish production order priorities and work with the Production Scheduler to ensure priorities are maintained and executed to plan.
Monitor exception messages and deltas and initiate changes to resolve production issues.
Act as a point of contact for the Sales department on questions regarding order status updates and communicating changes in the schedule to the affected departments.
Collaborate with Production Scheduler, and at times with Production Management to resolve production problems.
Investigate and report the cause of critical material shortages and initiate corrective action as needed.
Keep departments informed about completion dates, material changes or substitutions, and schedule modifications.
Interface professionally with all departments, supervisors and managers as required.
Ensure ISO/AS9100 compliance for all processes related to the purchasing, planning and execution of the production schedule, especially as they relate to ITAR/EAR work.
Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested.
