Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
The ideal candidate has pediatric experience (GI preferred), is detail-oriented, empathetic, team-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator supports a high-volume pediatric GI team caring for patients from infancy through young adulthood with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and nutrition needs. Work alongside 20 attending physicians, 3 nurse practitioners, and 9 nurses in the division.
This onsite role works Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with initial training at the main campus and support across satellite locations.
The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator will spend days triaging patient calls, managing MyChart communications, coordinating care plans with physicians and nurse practitioners, handling medication refills and results, and supporting clinic operations.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.
Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.
