We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shared Services Representative to join our Global Corporate Shared Services (GCSS) team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of efficient, high-quality Finance operations, supporting seamless and customer-focused experience across the organization. As part of a global shared services environment, you will play a key role in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, stakeholder support, process improvement initiatives, and the continuous enhancement of service delivery. In this role you will be responsible for Executing Accounts Payable activities accurately and efficiently, including invoice processing, reconciliations, issue resolution, and support for month-end close and audit requirements. Providing responsive and professional support to internal and external stakeholders through phone, email, and service management platforms. Managing enquiries, escalations, and dispute resolution while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Supporting the AP Lead/Manager in monitoring performance metrics, driving process standardization, and identifying opportunities for benchmarking and best practice adoption. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and service quality. Supporting the implementation of automation projects, system enhancements, and technology-driven solutions that improve user and vendor experiences. Collaborating with IT and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort. Identifying operational issues proactively and resolving or escalating them as appropriate. Supporting shared services projects, transformation initiatives, and special assignments as required. Able to identify gaps in existing working instructions/standard operating procedures gaps and develop a first draft to document missing processes in a timely manner. Position Specific Skills and Challenges Strong understanding of end-to-end finance shared services processes (AP, GL, month-end close, intercompany). Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across different levels and functions. Experience in identifying process gaps and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced shared services environment. Adhere to Cochlear Corporate procedure, policy and internal guidelines. Ensure compliance to internal controls and keep proper evidence & required documentation to meet internal/external audit standards. Why is this role right for you? Minimum Degree in any relevant field. At least 2-3 years of working experience in similar capacity is required for this role. Experience working as part of Accounts Payable team within a commercial finance or Shared Service environment is highly desirable. High proficiency with SAP or similar ERP transactional systems is required for this role. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and priorities. A team player, good problem solving, able to work under pressure and tight deadline. Intermediate computer skills in various software packages, including Windows10 specifically, Excel, Word and other typical business software. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across functional disciplines. Ability to priorities tasks and show initiative in a dynamic ever-changing work environment.
