Plan and coordinate import and export logistics via air, sea, and road, transport in accordance with international trade regulations and company procedures
Execute all import and export administrative activities, including shipping documentation and customs-related requirements
Coordinate with freight forwarders, transport providers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve logistics or customs-related issues
Ensure accurate preparation and processing of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other trade documentation
Liaise with third-party customs clearance agents and provide instructions where required
Maintain accurate logistics and shipment records within ERP and logistics systems
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, hazardous goods requirements, and internal company policies
Monitor freight costs and support optimisation of logistics processes and transport efficiency
Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Finance, and Sales teams to support operational requirements
Provide regular shipment updates, reporting, and administrative support to relevant stakeholders
Adhere to company Rules of Procedure (ROP), SOPs, and compliance standards at all times
Your Profile
Requirements
Strong logistics coordination and organisational capability
Sound understanding of import/export procedures and international trade documentation
Knowledge of customs clearance processes and freight forwarding operations
Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving and proactive coordination ability
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/logistics systems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
3-5 years' experience in import/export coordination, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain administration
Proven experience coordinating international shipments across air, sea, rail, and road transport
Experience managing import/export documentation and customs-related processes
Exposure to working with freight forwarders, customs, and third-party logistics providers
Experience within chemical distribution, manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments advantageous
SAP or ERP system experience advantageous
Education
Higher National Diploma or Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline - logistics, supply chain management or business administration or equivalent experience
Additional import/export or customs compliance training will be beneficial
