Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
Interviewing patients
Obtaining vital signs
Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: Sending and receiving of patient medical records
Facilitating patient referrals
Preparing forms for patients
Requirements
Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Current BLS certification

Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.
