About the role
You'll be a senior creative force on high-profile brand marketing campaigns spanning social content, hero video, motion graphics, and typographic animation. Operating within a dedicated client team, you'll own the animation process end-to-end - from concept and pre-production through final delivery - collaborating with creative directors, producers, illustrators, and animators across a global team. At this level, nobody oversees your craft - you set the bar. You're expected to drive quality and efficiency, mentor junior and semi-senior animators, push new techniques and tools, and serve as an internal ambassador for generative AI in the animation workflow.
Responsibilities
- Own the full animation lifecycle - pre-production assessment, creative scoping, execution, and final delivery - across social assets, complex hero videos, and multi-platform campaign toolkits.
- Lead early-stage creative ideation alongside art directors and creative leads, translating briefs and copy into high-quality motion work across formats, languages, and dimensions.
- Build and optimize production templates that improve speed and consistency for the broader global animation team.
- Maintain brand integrity across all deliverables - consistent across ad formats, platforms, and languages - while proactively flagging risks and unfeasible timelines before they become problems.
- Champion and integrate generative AI tools into your workflow, staying ahead of market trends and helping the team adopt new techniques and software.
- Present work and contribute to creative conversations with support from the craft director; collaborate with producers and cross-functional teams across multiple offices worldwide.
- Support and mentor junior and semi-senior animators, actively sharing progress, problems, and creative solutions across the team.
- What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in motion design and 2D animation, with a portfolio demonstrating ownership across brand campaigns, social content, and hero video production.
- Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma - you know how to do the basics right, and when to break the rules for creative effect.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools - Runway, MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, Whisk, or similar - with a genuine drive to stay current as the toolset evolves.
- Strong visual design sensibility across typography, colour, layout, and composition in both static and motion contexts.
- Proven ability to manage your own time, flag risks early, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines - independently, without hand-holding.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) - enough to work fluidly with international teams, communicate blockers clearly, and present creative work.
- Collaborative mindset - equally comfortable leading a creative direction, mentoring a junior, or taking notes from a craft director.
