Job Description Summary This bubble assignment is for the Module Integration Leader of the GEnx Accessory Drivetrain - Inlet, Transfer and Accessory Gearbox - and Oil Tank. The Module Integration Leader is a Systems function performing inter and intra- module integration between, Design, PSE, Integrated Manufacturing, Repair, CTP, MCRB, TSD other Systems functions and MRO Network focused on services profitability, manufacturing support as well as field issues resolution. Serves as primary technical expert for a given module, protects its integrity and drives significant technical issues to resolution. Module Integration Leader defines, optimizes, and manages intra-module, and inter-module interfaces and interactions. Including engine level sickbay or MRB support. Coordinates rapid communication of issues (mfg, QEM, field findings, safety issues,...), provides field issues resolution guidance and support including leadership for root cause investigations. Owns technical management of design changes and quality of certification process, tech review and PCB inputs. This role entails also inter-functional cooperation with Program Management and Global Supply Chain organizations. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Plan and execute of engineering milestones within post certification engineering efforts and product qualification Lead Design Reviews, System Tech Reviews and Program Control Board (PCB) Lead Change in Design process Provide inputs and guidance to hardware owners on field problems and production issues and to assess change in design at system level Lead field investigation and root cause analysis adopting TOPS8D methodology when required Support operating cadences - DMS, WOR, MOR - standard work, daily & visual management Be in charge of budget and relevant work packages, contributing to the forecast process, with a constant monitoring of costs and time Direct interaction with Internal and External customer including Airframer Collaboration and coordination with Systems, Design, Product Support Engineering, Repair, Overhaul Shops and Global Supply Chain organizations to achieve performance, producibility, cost and part durability targets Qualifications/Requirements Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited university Previous experience in Engineering department, Technical Expertise Knowledge of Avio Aero and GE Aerospace processes, tools and procedures Knowledge of gearboxes modules and components, Systems Integration Cross-functional collaboration Ability to prioritize work, communicate openly, hold meetings, lead activities focusing on targets English and Italian language knowledge, fluent written and spoken Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required Only GE Avio Srl current employees are eligible Travel availability required Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills Clear thinker and effective problem solver Good interpersonal and leadership skills Aptitude to work in multicultural environment Knowledge of aeronautical certification rules
