Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of Alcon surgical equipment within your assigned territory
Carry out preventive maintenance , equipment installations, and upgrades according to company procedures and guidelines
Identify and resolve complex technical issues , including those related to equipment start-up
Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades based on customer needs
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC/CAMC) sales and renewals
Train and instruct customers on the proper use and operation of Alcon equipment
Maintain accurate service logs , prepare technical reports, and contribute to product failure analysis
Escalate technical issues to appropriate Engineering and cross-functional teams
Plan and manage your daily activities independently, ensuring effective communication with customers, dispatch, managers, and internal stakeholders
Strictly follow GxP regulations , Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documentation requirements
Complete all required training and actively contribute to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
All associates are expected to comply with GxP standards, maintain accurate documentation, and meet individual job requirements to support the overall compliance and quality objectives of the organization.
Candidate Profile
University degree in Engineering (electronics, electrotechnics, mechanics, mechatronics, transport/industrial equipment or related fields)
Minimum 5 years of experience in installation, service, and maintenance of technical equipment; experience with medical devices is a strong advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical environments
High level of autonomy, organization skills, and willingness to travel within the North-West region of Romania
Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in Romanian and English (spoken and written); all technical training is conducted in English
Location for this role is Cluj Napoca and around (not Bucarest)

As a Sr. Associate I, Field Technical Service Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring that Alcon surgical equipment installed at customer sites and demo locations operates effectively and in line with specifications.
